On the 26th October we will welcome pianist Ashley Fripp.
The 2017 concert series of the Chopin Society is a celebration of British pianists – 'Best of British'. Ashley was chosen to be part of this series and gave his performance on the 8th October at National Trust property Hatchlands Park. He was thrilled to play on Chopin's own Pleyel piano.
Ashley has included three pieces by Chopin in the programme he will play for us:
Thomas Adès, composer, pianist and conductor has described Ashley as a 'genuine virtuoso' an outstandingly brilliant and masterly pianist'. A treat awaits us!
Ashley, with clarinettist Joseph Shiner, can be heard tomorrow (October 13th) in the Radio 3 lunchtime concert recorded in June this year at the St Magnus International Festival on Orkney.
