Carlisle Music Society collects data from individuals for the administration of membership (including subscriptions) and to promote the Society’s concerts.
Membership
In order to process membership applications, we request certain details, but will ask for no more than we need. We will use the details you provide to contact you about matters relating to your membership, for example, the Society's AGM. We do not share data with other organisations.
We use a third party service to store your data: Dropbox. We will always make sure that any third parties we use are reputable, secure and process your data in accordance with your rights under GDPR.
Promoting the Society's Activities
We offer everyone the opportunity to sign up (consent) to receive concert reminders via email. Any email communication we send you will include a clear option to withdraw your consent (opt out) of future emails and you can also withdraw consent at any point by contacting Pam Jones, the committee member responsible for data protection, by email: [email protected] We also offer the opportunity to sign up to receive the new season's leaflet by post. As with email communication, you can withdraw your consent to this at any time by speaking to a committee member, contacting us via the website, or sending an email, as above.
Visitors to the Website
We use cookie technology to collect data on how many people have visited our website and how many pages have been viewed. We cannot identify individual visitors to the site. We use a pop-up banner to let site visitors know that we use cookies. If you choose to contact us via the website form, we will erase your contact details once we have answered your query.
